Peter Stone wanted a particular job. Problem was, they wouldn't interview him. For nine months, he wrote letters about a week and a half apart: "...Just wanted to update you on my resume..." "...Just wanted to tell you about a workshop I went to..." "...So, if you have any questions...".
Finally, the decision maker called and set up a meeting in a restaurant on his way to somewhere else. He walked in and we shook hands. He held up a 3 ring binder full of letters I had written him and said: "If I hire you, will you stop writing me"?
I said: "Yes" and it was a done deal.
