A gentleman came up and pointed out to me that he had a lot of problems. He was very unhappy, even though he was successful in the sale of life insurance for a large company. I asked him if he had inspirational self-help books, and his answer was that he had that kind of book in his library. Then I asked the question, "Do you read them?"
Now, the interesting thing is this: The successful person will make the time to do the important, specifically, to read and study a self-help book for the purpose of developing either financial wealth, success in his particular business or vocation, or the acquisition of good physical, mental or moral health.     To accomplish this, it is important that EACH DAY you spend private time with yourself. This means at least fifteen to twenty minutes that you--     1. Think about your goals     Get yourself ready for a future lifetime of PMA excitement. What are you going to study? First, read an inspirational, self-help action editorial, article, book, or listen to an inspirational tape. All you need to do is take fifteen minutes, or if you want, just a short chapter, but try to understand what the author is trying to say. Use a dictionary if necessary. Determine what principles apply to you.     Memorize self-motivators that you believe will help you. Select an environment where you can concentrate without being disturbed. Have a notepad and pencil handy.     From the book “Napoleon Hill's Keys to Positive Thinking” by Michael J. Ritt, Jr. For other books my Michael J. Ritt, Click here |
